Full-Time Training - Testimonies

I became a believer, when I was twelve, in Indonesia. I heard about the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) around the time I came to the United States for college. After spending time with some of the FTTA trainees that I met I realized that I needed to be trained to be useful for the Lord and I decided to join the FTTA upon graduation from college. As I am approaching my graduation from the training I can testify of three of the things that I have gained from the training: the gospel, the truth, and realizing my condition in relation to the Lord.

I came to the training as a person who is very afraid to preach the gospel. In my disposition I don't like to talk to people. Part of the training is to go and speak about the Lord to people four days a week, two hours each time. This has helped me to overcome my fear. Now, even though there is still some anxiety, I can go and preach the gospel by myself on the campus.

Another perfecting that I received is in studying the truth in the Bible. We have weekly assignments for the various classes. After these two years my capacity to study the truth has increased. My taste for the truth also has increased. More importantly, I have been filled inwardly with the Word of God.

The Training also helped me to realize my condition spiritually and humanly. I realized and was able to accept my weaknesses. This helped me to look to the Lord for help. As a believer I am also a member in the Body of Christ with a particular function. I need to be faithful to my portion and not go beyond my measure. I thank the Lord for the FTTA. May He use this training to train many more young people to be useful for His purpose to gain His desire.
